Wheyhey Nutritionist Rhiannon Lambert shares with us why this recipe not only looks good on the outside, but is good on the inside too!
Always beware of fruit heavy smoothies, the reason this smoothie is different is owed to the high content of protein! 20g from your whey hey ice cream, protein from the almond milk and yoghurt all help to slow down the release of fructose and reduce any insulin spike whilst also providing your muscles with vital recovery fuel!

Not only is this recipe refreshingly tasty, it is actually bursting with antioxidants to help fight free radical damage from exercise and pollution, it also contains electrolytes to help rebalance your body after strenuous exercise. Greek yoghurt often contains probiotics which are the friendly gut bacteria, these will help aid your digestion and the yoghurt is a great source of calcium. Try topping your smoothie bowls with seeds and nuts for an omega 3 and protein boost and you have the perfectly balanced smoothie bowl.
